Bloody cracking service Hock.
Your friends and family have done you proud mate.
I’m glad to say that we’ve shared a beer and Bundy over the journey at the club rooms.
Your large as life personality will be missed by me, and by many at the South Barwon FNC.
Rest well mate.
Cheers,
Ox

Grandpa Hock, was loved by his grand kids Lily and Kiki, he will be forever missed, the love he shared lives on.
So grateful for the time and the love that you showed us while here with us.
Rest in peace
Hock, we met you when the boys arrived at Murghie to try their hand at cricket. To this day they still proudly talk about you as their first coach. You encouraged and guided them as if they were your own – it is where they developed a love for the game alongside Coop. We are forever grateful for this mate and have such fond memories of these early days. That loud distinct laugh, constant jibes about our footy team that can’t win a final and lovable larrikin presence will live on in our memories. Your passion & enthusiasm at our kids sporting clubs will be greatly missed & just like you did with our boys, I will always keep a keen eye on Coop and his sporting feats into the future, knowing just how proud you were.
Rest easy Hock, here’s cheers to you.
Glenthompson vs SMW Rovers U16’s Hock.
At Rovers Home ground.
Heavy track.
Last quarter.
Somehow we both were Rucking at a boundary throw in.
Neither of us got off the ground to tap the ball, lest just body contact and wrestling with plenty of chat Lol.
Junior Country Week Cricket at Stawell.
I could go on.
Just a country boy who loved his sport.
I was going to invite you to the MCC Members for State of Origin 2 this year Hock.
Naturally you’d follow the Blues like me Lol.
Gone too soon mate.
Watch your Tigers shine again from above old mate.
Rest easy and in peace mate 🙏🙏🙏.
Hock, you will be missed by those who loved you x
Be Still, by Kirli Saunders:
Delicate soul,
make time to be still.
Lie in fields of flowers
and hear their petals hum
let their rhythm become yours
and bloom as they do,
in the places people least expect.
Know your roots
and grow from them,
climb ever to the sun
and have the shadows
fall behind you.
We will all miss Hock, gone way too soon, love to Gayle and the boys.

Hock.
I’m so sad that we won’t have many more years of having a drink together watching our boys play footy and cricket together, or having a beer with them, after their games, and listening to music or watching sport together.
Such a good club man- very honest in your appraisals, but the first to chip in and help out – The loveable rogue – with a big kind heart.
Thanks for all of your help with the boys.
You were their mate, as well as ours. They’ll really miss you too.
You and Gayle always provided a safe and welcoming space for the whole gang.
We’ll always be here for Cooper, Mitch and Gayle, mate.
Gone way too soon
I’m better for having known you Hock.
A big character, a better man.
Hock, you always had a way to wind us boys up! Your beloved Tigers could do no wrong and the banter between us all is now a cherished memory.
You were always supportive of the boys at South throughout their footy journey and always cared for their well-being.
May you now watch from above mate with a beer in hand!
You will be missed by all!
Cheers mate!
Alexander Thomson Cricket Club wishes to extend our deepest sympathy to Mitch, Gayle and the rest of the family in the sudden passing of your dear dad and husband.
May you cherish many wonderful memories. Our thoughts and love are with you.
Hockey Stix.
Miss you so f…. much.
I’m so glad I got a Nedwood cuddle on Sunday.
RIP Big fella.
I’ll look after Gaylo as promised.
“Ralph”, Hock.
Memories of you smashing 6s at Port Fairy Cricket Ground still lives on.
Always the life of the party.
Great bloke and will be sadly missed by all.
