Krisso was so much more than met the eye, beneath that tough exterior was a generous, kind, and deeply honourable man. He held strong values, family, love, loyalty, and respect.

He often spoke fondly of his son Nick, and it was clear how proud he was of the man he has become. He saw in him the best parts of himself, and was grateful for that. Even when his own struggles made it hard to express how he felt, he truly cared. He just wished he could show it better.

Krisso faced more challenges than most, but he never stopped trying to do better, even when life seemed determined to knock him down. His memory might have failed him, but in his own way, he was a genius.

I’ll never forget the time he showed me a fire extinguisher he'd turned into a firearm overnight.

Or how he proudly showed me the Dyson Airblade that he wired into his unit, after he’d kicked it off a public toilet wall and rode home with it.

Moments like those remind me that Krisso was truly one of a kind, resourceful, unpredictable, and unforgettable.

I valued the time I shared with him. His life experiences gave him a deep understanding of the world, one that few people ever really reach. It shaped him into someone raw, real, and fiercely loyal.

I take comfort in knowing that his pain is over, and that he’s finally at peace. And I hope we can all carry forward a piece of who he was, his strength, his loyalty, and his spark.
