Sam Liistro

Dear Grandpa,
I am so lucky to have had you as my grandpa for 32 years.
Growing up, becoming a man and then a dad is hard. I am lucky, because I had you as a beacon to see what it looks like to be a good man, a good husband and a good dad.
You treated people in your life with respect, courtesy, loyalty and love.
You imparted on me a deep interest in nature, the environment and the world around us.
You showed me that it is important to continue to keep learning and to always be curious.
I will always remember our trips to Apollo Bay, making bouncy balls out of seaweed, the “run-up tree”, learning about birds and plants, Friday night visits and the interest you took in so many of our trips away.
Thank you for being everything we could have asked for and needed.
I will miss you, until we meet again one day, all my love, Sam
