  5. Our dear neighbour & friend Wendy was a truly kind, loving and generous spirit.
Wendy walked with me and our two dogs regularly and during these walks we solved the world’s problems.
We talked about writing a book giving agony aunt & sage advice to those who needed setting straight……. Oh we talked non-stop and what laughs we had.
Andrew and I will never forget the ‘Wendy packs’ where Wendy would arrive for afternoon tea with her freshly made scones, jam & cream…. more chatting & more laughter.
Wendy was always cheerful, loved her family dearly, a great supportive friend, a community minded person who would help out whenever she could.
A great friend has passed over but the love she gave and the person she was will always be remembered fondly and with a huge smile & sense of warmth.
We send our condolences to her entire family.

I was very fortunate to be a good friend of lovely Wendy in high school.
I moved away 42 years ago, but hadn’t kept in touch.
I often thought of her through the years and am happy to see she had such a loving family and friends to share her beautiful life.
    A song/verse for Wendy…
The peace of the Earth be with you,
The peace of the Heavens too.
The peace of the rivers be with you,
The peace of the oceans too.
    Deep peace falling over you,
    God’s peace growing in you.
Sending love to all of you.

Wendy Elizabeth Sormaz

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing
of our beloved wife, mother and much-loved Nan Nan.
Wendy Elizabeth Sormaz passed away peacefully,
surrounded by her loving family, on 2 February 2026, aged 73.

Devoted and loving wife of Peter.
Adored mother of Sarah, Dean and Todd, and
cherished mother-in-law to Glenn, Ange and Tegan.
Treasured Nan Nan to Ben, Bella, Paige, Finley and Alex, who were the light of her life.

Wendy will be remembered for her kindness, strength, gentle spirit and the unwavering love she gave so freely.
She leaves behind a lifetime of beautiful memories and
a family who were endlessly proud to call her ours.
