Our beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and dearest friend.
May her spirit shine bright.
Please join us for a commemorative service.
The service will be live streamed and recorded for those unable to attend.
Following the service, we invite you to remain for light refreshments and a toast to Eve’s legacy.
To help celebrate the life of Eve, everyone is invited to post a tribute here with a cherished photo of Eve – the photos will decorate her coffin.

Eve, You were caring, funny, bright, opinionated, stubborn and bubbly.
You were a big part of my life while I grew up, I have so many memories of things you and mum did – getting on your new horse that day with nothing but a rug on in a waterlogged paddock, mum did say are you sure? The look on your face after getting up off your stomach after he threw you off straight over his neck and you continued on your stomach through the water like being on a slip and slide, water spraying everywhere. Yes I’m laughing… You worked and fought hard for what you wanted in life. Now you are free from pain and whole again. I will miss you but I know you are still here watching over all of your loved ones.
Rest peacefully Eve, I love you!

Over the tapestry of our lives,
You were a ‘force’.
Even now you did it your way
Right to the end.
Rest now Eve, for you are on a bed layered with love, surrounded by love.

Dearest Eve,
So much grief. I think of you each day.
Your strength and love for your children, grandchildren and friends I will always remember.
I will always remember your support for me and my troubles.
Love you Eve and we will meet again over the rainbow bridge.
Eve, as a best friend to my Mum, Lynette, you brought much joy and love into her life and shared a special bond through your passion for horses; I will forever be thankful for your friendship. I remember our trip to Lake Macquarie and us being mesmerised by the beauty of the water, and hearing about the fun times you spent with Mum and my sister hanging out with the horses. Being at peace now, you will live on through your greatest joy; your children and grandchildren.

Dearest Eve
You were the first friend I made when I moved to Adelaide encouraged by our respective children who met at the dog park.
We had many weekly lunches at different places which were always yummy. But when we went to Ambrosia in Semaphore you would always go for the all day brekky burger. And you would always say I must try something different……….nah i will just have the burger 🤗.
Fly high with the angels your pain is gone.
Watch over your loving family forever ❤️

My dearest friend Eve,
I first met you at Manorvale PS and we became instant friends.
We shared so many laughs, wine and good times.
It saddens me to think I won’t be seeing you again.
You were a beautiful and courageous person and I will miss you greatly.

Dearest Eve – People come into each other’s lives for a reason. I’m so glad we did.
Although our lives followed different paths since High School, we did manage to catch up over the years from time to time.
I’m glad we were able to keep in touch. I always enjoyed your travel tips & loved our get-together in WA.
We always connected & had great conversations when we saw each other. Your honesty was to be admired & dedication to your family & friends was amazing.
I wish your “home coming” had a different outcome Eve.
You fought so stoically even when the odds weren’t on your side.
We had some laughs, cried some tears, held each other’s hand, enjoyed each other’s company & shared many precious moments and a special bond during your tough journey…

I’ll especially remember your generosity in supporting me in my goal to walk 60kms for mental health – this revealed to me your true kindness and authenticity.

You are the only person that knows everything about me. We had some fun times. Often it was you, me and John, going to the footy to watch the cats, or a night out at a restaurant or function ie: Hungarian dances.

It is with an aching heart that I announce the passing of Eve Helen Pape, our beloved grandmother, sister, daughter, friend and dearest mother.
She died peacefully with her brother Richard and me by her side.
Mum, you are free of all your suffering now and at peace. I know you will guide us all in facing our grief. Your stoicism in facing the past sixteen months has taught us all how to be brave.
As I feel the warm embrace of the sunshine this beautiful day, I know your spirit is already shining bright in the sky above and you are watching down on us all.
We are eternally grateful for your presence in our lives, for your wisdom, kindness, support and undying love.
